Job summary

Hendrick Toyota Merriam is seeking a Lube Technician to perform express lube duties on vehicles at our Merriam location in Kansas. The role involves oil and filter changes, lubrication of joints, and ensuring vehicles leave with correct fluid levels.

The ideal candidate will have basic automotive knowledge, demonstrated mechanical skills, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining a clean, safe work area and high CSI scores.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to express lube guidelines.
• Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints.
• Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
• Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
• Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
• Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
• Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
• Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
• Participates in required training
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
• Complies with Company policies and procedures
• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
