Job Title: Automotive Technician
Location: On-Site
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $28-$35/hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses.
- Perform diagnostics using advanced tools, electrical systems, and schematics.
- Repair and maintain vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, and electrical components.
- Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, inspections).
- Interpret technical manuals and ADAS data.
- Perform suspension work and diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, A/C, electrical, and computer systems.
- Use shop equipment (diagnostic machines, alignment systems, welding tools, etc.).
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors, teammates, and customers regarding repair status and technical diagnoses.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of automotive and/or diesel mechanic experience.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with insurable record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willing to complete a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in varying conditions.
- ASE certification (A/B/C level) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Vocational/Technical degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail; team-oriented with professionalism and strong communication skills.
