Job summary

Sunset Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking an experienced Express Service Technician to join our high-volume service department. You will handle routine maintenance with speed, accuracy, and quality, including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and more.

The role offers company-paid GM factory training and a clear path to advancement into Certified GM Technician positions, with strong earning potential in a busy flat-rate shop.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced flat-rate environment.
• Experience as an Express Technician or related role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, tire repairs and other routine maintenance.
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations.
• Perform fluid exchanges, battery replacements, filter replacements, wiper blade installation and other scheduled maintenance.
• Accurately document inspection results and technician recommendations.
• Maintain productivity and quality in a fast-paced, flat-rate environment.
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures at all times.

Express Tech Responsibilities

As an Express Technician with Sunset Chevrolet, you will handle routine maintenance service appointments with speed, accuracy, and quality every time. Specific duties include:

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, tire repairs, and other routine maintenance services efficiently and accuratel
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations
• Perform fluid exchanges, battery replacements, filter replacements, wiper blade installation, and other scheduled maintenance services
• Accurately document inspection results and technician recommendations
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced, flat-rate environment
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures at all times
• Keep work area clean, organized, and professional

Express Service Technician Qualifications

We're looking for an express tech with enough experience to handle routine maintenance services with expertise. Ideal candidate qualifications include:

• Previous experience as an Express Technician, Lube Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Tire Technician required
• GM experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced flat-rate environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
• Automotive schooling, ASE certifications, or manufacturer training preferred
• Valid Florida Driver's License and good driving ability
