Job summary

Toyota of Brookhaven is seeking an entry- to mid-level Automotive Technician to perform basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. You will identify concerns, document needs, and communicate recommendations to service advisors while assisting senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive experience preferred, but not required.
• Technical school or automotive training is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and grow within the Toyota brand.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, battery testing, and multipoint inspections.
• Complete express service work efficiently while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
• Identify and document vehicle concerns and maintenance needs.
• Communicate inspection results and service recommendations clearly with service advisors.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs, shop tasks, and vehicle movement as needed.
• Properly use shop equipment, tools, and diagnostic devices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
• Follow all dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and safety procedures.
