Job summary

Grace Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Marshall, TX seeks a Teaching Elder/Pastor to shepherd the congregation, preach expository sermons, and lead worship in a manner consistent with EPC standards.

The candidate will equip believers, mentor leaders, provide pastoral care, oversee staff, and maintain church administration while engaging in local outreach and denominational duties.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent from an accredited seminary.
• Ordination as Teaching Elder in EPC or eligible for EPC ordination/transfer.
• Ability to empower and cultivate others’ spiritual gifts.
• Expository preaching with deep understanding of Scripture.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate personal faith and guide the congregation in sound biblical teaching.
• Equip the congregation through prayer, discipleship, and worship.
• Lead corporate worship and administer the Sacraments per EPC Book of Order.
• Moderate the Session and lead Ruling Elders with discernment.
• Support the Diaconate in mercy and service ministries.
• Provide pastoral care, visitation, and crisis counseling.
• Develop youth ministry in collaboration with the youth minister.
• Oversee church administration, reporting, and communications.
• Maintain connections with Gulf South Presbytery and EPC General Assembly.
