Job summary

Danforth Community Chapel in rural east central Minnesota seeks a full-time Pastor to preach expository, Christ-centered sermons and help the church body mature in faith. The role includes shepherding the congregation, pastoral care, and overseeing weekly gatherings with an elder board leadership structure.

Qualifications include a minimum Bachelor’s in Bible/Theology; a Master’s from an accredited seminary is preferred, with gifting in preaching, teaching, shepherding, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Prior ministry experience preferred, but recent seminary graduates should apply.
• Education of a minimum bachelor’s degree in Bible/Theology; a Master’s degree from an accredited seminary preferred.
• Spiritual Gifts: Preaching, teaching, shepherding, leadership.

Responsibilities

• Preaching weekly expository sermons on Sunday mornings.
• Live the sermons and model godliness.
• Coordinate Sunday Night Prayer Meetings and mid-week Bible Study.
• Pastoral care including counseling, discipleship, and rites such as funerals and weddings.
• Visitations and community outreach to make disciples.
