Job summary

SpartanNash Military in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day DC operations, labor management, shipping and receiving, and facility maintenance.

You will partner with distribution management to drive process improvements, manage KPIs and budgets, and lead a team of managers and associates while ensuring safety and on-time delivery. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Five years distribution center experience with two years supervisory/management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day distribution center operations including labor management, shipping/receiving, and facility maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve issues related to DC operations
• Analyze reports on warehouse productivity, labor, budget, and KPI performance to meet goals
• Develop improvement plans with distribution management to meet objectives
• Manage customer relationships and support data/reporting for shipments and performance
• Ensure uniform warehouse processes align with company policy and safety standards
• Lead training and development of warehouse staff and drive safety initiatives
