Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Explosives Operations Engineer in McHenry to lead explosive operations across development to field support. You’ll translate product and customer requirements into executable operations with high safety and regulatory standards.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, programs, and legal, ensuring compliant, safe, and scalable explosive capabilities for multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in explosives operations, including safety, storage, transport, and test or field execution.
• Experience applying DoD, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA regulations in real operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute explosives operations for current and future Anduril products.
• Support hands-on explosives operations across test, field, and operational environments.
• Lead and support range safety activities and contribute to safety posture of explosive operations.
• Develop site laydowns, blast/fragmentation considerations, quantity-distance evaluations, and mitigation strategies.
• Draft and enforce explosive safety procedures and operating instructions, ensuring personnel understand and follow them.
