Position Overview

Chitra is seeking experiencedExplosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical/Academic Instructorsto support training for U.S. Army personnel at theU.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Detachment at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

The EOD Technical/Academic Instructor will provide classroom and field-based instruction designed to train and retrain U.S. Army students in current EOD techniques, procedures, and operational standards. Instructors will deliver training using approved doctrine, audiovisual equipment, training aids, computer-aided instructional tools, and practical demonstrations.

The ideal candidate will bring significant operational experience as an89D or 89E EOD professional, previous instructional experience, and the ability to translate technical and operational expertise into clear, effective, and standards-based instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Train and retrain U.S. Army students in currentExplosive Ordnance Disposal techniques and proceduresin classroom and field environments.
• Deliver technical and academic instruction in accordance with current doctrinal publications, approved course materials, and established training standards.
• Demonstrate EOD techniques and procedures accurately and safely.
• Utilize audiovisual equipment, training aids, and computer-aided instructional systems to enhance student learning.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and provide hands-on instructional support as required by the course.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide corrective or remedial instruction when necessary.
• Maintain all applicable instructor and course-specific certifications.
• Prepare, operate, maintain, and safeguard instructional equipment, tools, and inert ordnance training items.
• Maintain a professional, safe, and effective learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with Government personnel, fellow instructors, students, and other training personnel.
• Perform additional course-support duties necessary to achieve established training objectives.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have graduated fromat least oneof the following:

• Navy School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD)
• U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Common Faculty Development–Instructor Course (CFD-IC)
• Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC)
• Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT)
• Installation Support Cadre Training Course (ISCTC)

Candidates must also possess:

• A minimum ofthree years of operationally specific experience as an EOD Technician, MOS 89D or MOS 89E.
• A minimum ofthree years of instructional experience.
• All certifications required for the specific courses they will teach.
• Working knowledge of currentEOD doctrine, techniques, and procedures.
• Basic proficiency withMicrosoft Office applications.
• Ability to access, operate, and effectively utilize required instructional technology and training tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to military students.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, Government personnel, and other instructors.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry tools, inert ordnance items, and other training equipment weighing up to50 pounds.
• Perform duties requiring average agility and manual dexterity.
• Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Conduct and support training in both classroom and field environments.
• Work outdoors occasionally, including during inclement weather.
• Safely handle and work around applicable instructional equipment, tools, and inert ordnance training items.
