Job summary

First Division Consulting seeks an experienced EOD specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Stump Neck Annex, Indian Head. You will provide subject matter expertise, develop procedures for ordnance disposal, and coordinate publication updates in line with DoD standards.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, and at least six years of active-duty EOD experience. On-site work and federal project experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School.
• Must hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Minimum six years of experience as a military active-duty EOD Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provides EOD subject matter expertise to develop and revise EOD information sets per government specs.
• Devises detailed step-by-step procedures for EOD technicians to render safe and dispose of munitions items.
• Develops tests and writes test plans; prepares draft manuals; coordinates publication changes from validation.

Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Stump Neck Annex, IHD

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides EOD subject matter expertise to develop and revise EOD information sets currently described as 60-Series Subjects, Publications & Procedures in accordance with applicable government specifications.
• Possesses ability to devise detailed step-by-step procedures for use for EOD technicians to render safe and dispose of specific munitions items or weapons systems.
• Develop specific tests and write test plans; prepare draft manuals; and coordinate and resolve publication changes resulting from validation.

• Must be a graduate of Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School at Eglin Air Force Base.
• An Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Must have at least six (6) years of experience as a military active-duty EOD Technician.
• Must be United States Citizen.

Desired:

• 20 or more years (Active or Reserve) of military EOD experience.
• Awarded the Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal badge from respective Service.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
