Job summary

Global K9 Protection Group LLC in Jamaica, NY is seeking a dedicated Cargo Screening K9 Handler to join our security team. As a 3PK9 Explosive Detection K9 Handler, you will work with a trained canine to screen for explosives and other hazards.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, housing and welfare of the canine, and collaborating with the security team. U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass TSA background checks, drug screen, and licensing requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening operations for explosives with a trained Explosive Detection Canine.
• Maintain administrative records for work and training.
• House, care for, and ensure welfare of assigned canine.
• Maintain other administrative records as required.
