Job summary

Primrose School of Fishers Parkside is seeking an Explorer Teacher for its after-school program, caring for children aged 5 to 10. You will deliver a fun, flexible curriculum emphasizing leadership, character development and design thinking.

The role runs Monday through Friday with shifts typically 2:00–6:00 pm; there is potential to shift toward full-time (benefits begin at 11:30–6:00 in that scenario). You will build genuine relationships and help children explore a range of interests in a

Qualifications

• Age must be at least 18
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Experience in teaching or assistant teaching in an early childhood program is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of children's social, emotional, and creative needs

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily supervision and class functions for a group of children
• Follow all Primrose policies and local/state regulations for health and safety
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule per Balanced Learning curriculum
• Keep an attractive, well‑kept classroom that encourages creativity and decision‑making
• Provide positive recognition and set clear expectations for children's behavior
• Maintain classroom and common areas, including playgrounds, with basic upkeep
• Assist the Director or designee as needed
