Concord Community Schools is seeking a Secondary Teacher (Exploratory Tech/STEM, 4 Hours per Day) to join our certified staff. The role focuses on guiding students through pre-engineering concepts via Project Lead the Way resources, inspiring practical problem solving.

The position emphasizes collaboration with colleagues, lesson planning, progress reporting, and classroom management to support student growth and success.

Qualifications

• Indiana Department of Education certification required.
• Strong communication and teaching skills; interpersonal relations and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient, observant, and creative with ability to think outside the box.
• Coach students individually or in groups and communicate progress with parents and teachers.
• Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students using various teaching methods with audiovisual aids.
• Review student history, learning abilities, and assessments to meet educational needs.
• Collaborate to develop lesson plans and implement engaging curriculum methods.
• Prepare course outlines, assign lessons, and correct homework.
• Administer tests, record results, and inform parents of progress.
• Maintain classroom discipline.
• Discuss academic and behavior issues with parents and suggest remedial actions.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
• Keep attendance and grade records.
• Other duties as assigned.
