Job summary

Our client in Randburg, Gauteng seeks an Exploration Geologist to identify and evaluate mineral resource opportunities. You will participate in all exploration phases, from target generation and fieldwork to data analysis and reporting within a collaborative team.

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years’ field-focused mineral exploration experience, proficiency with ArcGIS or Leapfrog, and strong reporting/instrumentation skills for safe, compliant fieldwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology or related earth science field.
Minimum 5 years of mineral exploration experience with fieldwork.
Proficiency in geological mapping and modeling software.

Responsibilities

Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and prospecting in exploration areas.
Plan and supervise exploration drilling programs, including core logging and assay data interpretation.
Utilize geological software for data compilation, 3D modeling, and interpretation.
Identify and evaluate potential mineral prospects based on geological criteria.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries of exploration findings.
Collaborate with geophysicists, geochemists, and other specialists to integrate data.
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards during fieldwork.
