Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an Expert Level Exploitation Specialist/Imagery Scientist (SAR) to join our team in Springfield, VA.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience with applied image processing and advanced analysis of radar imagery; extensive knowledge of imaging radar physics, phenomenology, and phase history processing.
- Proficiency with imaging radar analysis techniques utilizing advanced image and signal processing methods and tools to support new signature and methodology development.
- A detailed understanding of sensor design principles and their relationship to sensor performance.
- Specifically: develop automated options to download and catalogue data; support mission partner activities to identify, validate, report, and minimize discrepancies; define, identify, develop, and automate repeatable ways to compute and apply various solutions for detecting and characterizing features and activity of interest.
- Support creation of non-literal processing and analytic methods for repeatable use to add insight to formal intelligence reporting.
- Production and exploitation of change detection products. Develop and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing.
- Develop and improve computer vision workflows that enhance GEOINT analysis efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- Eight years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in image science, remote sensing, earth science, etc., plus 3+ years processing and exploiting LIDAR data. Experience with ArcGIS, QTModeler, ENVI.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, willing to obtain CI Polygraph.
- Expertise in processing and exploiting SAR data.
- Experience writing and maintaining Python scripts in ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training and experience in remote sensing, earth science, etc., with IDL, Java, C++, VB, MATLAB, R, or other programming languages.
- Experience with APIs.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Earth Engine, ESRI Arc Services, Tableau, Web Services Development.
- Experience with ArcGIS.
