Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an Expert Level Exploitation Specialist/Imagery Scientist (SAR) to join our team in Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate experience with applied image processing and advanced analysis of radar imagery, with extensive knowledge of imaging radar physics, phenomenology, and phase history processing.
- Utilize advanced image and signal processing methods and tools to support signature and methodology development.
- Understand sensor design principles and their impact on sensor performance.
- Develop automated solutions for data download and cataloging; support mission partner activities to identify, validate, report, and minimize discrepancies.
- Define, develop, and automate methods for detecting and characterizing features and activities of interest.
- Create non-literal processing and analytic methods for intelligence reporting.
- Produce and exploit change detection products, maintaining documentation for knowledge sharing.
- Develop computer vision workflows to enhance GEOINT analysis efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
- Eight years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in image science, remote sensing, earth science, etc., including 3+ years processing & exploiting LIDAR data. Proficiency in ArcGIS, QTModeler, ENVI.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, willing to obtain CI Polygraph clearance.
- Expertise in processing & exploiting SAR data.
- Experience writing and maintaining Python scripts in ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training and experience in remote sensing, earth science, etc., with skills in IDL, Java, C++, VB, MATLAB, R, or other programming languages.
- Experience with APIs, Google Earth Engine, ESRI ARC Services, Tableau, Web Services Development.
- Advanced degree preferred.
