The Architect will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, development teams, operations, and security teams to understand requirements and develop secure, scalable, reliable, and cost‑effective cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture: Design and architect scalable, reliable, secure, and cost‑effective GCP solutions based on client and business requirements. Select appropriate GCP services and develop high‑level and detailed designs covering network topology, data flow, security, integrations, and disaster recovery.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to development and operations teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with business analysts, project managers, security teams, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Cloud Implementation: Oversee implementation and deployment of GCP solutions, including virtual machines, containers, databases, networking, and storage. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

  • Security & Compliance: Design and implement GCP security controls, including IAM, network security, encryption, logging, and threat detection. Ensure solutions meet applicable federal, industry, and organizational security and compliance requirements, including IRS Publication 1075, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, as applicable.

  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance, identify optimization opportunities, and develop strategies for resource utilization, rightsizing, cost allocation, and overall GCP cost management.

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex GCP, infrastructure, application, and integration issues. Provide ongoing operational support and participate in critical incident response and on‑call activities, as required.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical architecture, design, configuration, operational, security, and disaster recovery documentation.

  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing GCP security and compliance solutions, including IAM, network security, encryption, threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews; experience with IRS Publication 1075, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or similar standards is preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience with cloud performance monitoring, optimization, availability, reliability, and cost management, including resource rightsizing and cost allocation.
