Job summary

Jay Peak Resort is seeking a Groomer I to prepare and maintain skiing surfaces, ensuring safety for all skill levels. The role requires evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, with training in safety and radio protocol. Seasonal position with opportunities to advance.

You will operate snow grooming equipment, inspect and report conditions, and work as part of a grooming team to meet daily goals in a winter resort setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-5 years of experience operating a snow cat in a mountain environment, or equivalent experience operating heavy machinery.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational inspection, fueling, greasing and cleaning of machinery.
• Grooming of ski trails in a mountainous environment, day and night.
• Communicate work performed, area covered and report irregularities to other operators.
