Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a rod buster to plan, lay out and install rebar, embeds and anchor bolts in concrete forms. You will use hand tools, rod-bending machines, blowtorches and related equipment to construct and place rebar per project specifications on a construction site in Texas.

Min 4 years in concrete crafts, with knowledge of layout, tying and erection of structures. Safety training and adherence to site rules are essential; a safety-sensitive role with potential for a performance-based

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 4 years of experience as a rod buster, carpenter or similar craft with knowledge of concrete structures, layout and rebar tying techniques.
• Certifications like NCCER Concrete Finishing, Carpenter, Reinforcing Ironwork, Rigger or Scaffolding are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out and install rebar, embeds and anchor bolts in concrete forms.
• Assemble and install rebar mats, cages or columns according to project specs.
• Maintain safety and participate in pre-job safety planning and discussions.
