Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking an Expert Network Engineer to join our Network Administration team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will provide technical support, monitor and maintain the infrastructure, improve performance, and automate administration across traditional and data networks.

Qualifications include a Master's degree or equivalent experience with CCNP and DoD 8570 IAT III baseline certification; 10+ years of relevant experience; strong design, deployment, and compliance skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of network engineering experience.
• CCNP certification and DoD 8570.01-M IAT III baseline required.
• Experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure for DoD/IC.
• Ability to lead large installation projects and develop networking algorithms.
• Strong input to network and mission architecture design and QA.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Network and System Administrators.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize current infrastructure performance.
• Automate network administration tasks and workflows.
• Design, upgrade, and validate network architectures and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/IC regulations and ISO 9000 requirements.
• Lead large projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

• Position Description: Provide support on the Network Administration team including technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitoring and maintaining the current infrastructure, improving system performance, and automating system administration. This positions also develops algorithms used in modules or incorporated into models associated with the research and development of technologies and systems involving one or more of the following areas: traditional circuit switched networks; data networks; access technologies; wireless systems; the media to carry such services; the protocols required for the completion of transport and services; operation of networks; management of network resources; provisioning of resources; traffic and/or performance modeling of such networks. Qualifications:
• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum.
• In lieu of a Master's degree a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a total of 12 years.
• In lieu of a Master's or Bachelor's degree an additional six (6) years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a total of 16 years. Required Certifications:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required. Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration.
• Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
• Conduct Computer Network Defense Operations, plan and install network upgrades, network design, and perform quality assurance and control.
• Configure and maintain organizations network diagrams and accreditations.
• Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.
• Oversee the support to all network equipment.
• Support the integration of the analytic platform into the CND CDC.
• Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks.
• Lead large efforts and installation projects of dynamic requirements and scale.
• Develop algorithms for models using networking and/or telecommunications technologies and systems.
