Job summary

1776 Companies in the FAB/Ag Shop is seeking a skilled Custom Truck Fabrication Technician to design, fabricate, install, and modify high‑quality truck components. You will work from drawings and measurements, ensuring safety, durability, and customer specifications are met while upholding craftsmanship.

You will read blueprints, perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum, assemble beds and racks, and verify alignment and fit on truck frames.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custom truck fabrication or automotive fabrication.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills for structural and cosmetic work.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Experience with truck frames and body components.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install custom truck components such as flatbeds, racks, bumpers, and payload equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and build specs.
• Perform cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing of steel and aluminum components.
• Weld using MIG and TIG to meet structural and cosmetic standards.
• Measure, layout, and fit components on truck frames and bodies.
• Modify existing equipment to meet custom requirements and ensure alignment.
• Coordinate with shop foreman to meet build timelines and inspect finished work.
