Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Expert Automation & Robotics Programmer to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Everett, WA (also Renton or Auburn).

The role requires extensive experience with ABB RobotStudio, ABB, KUKA, and FANUC robots, robotic cell programming, automation control systems, and manufacturing process optimization. This position directly supports factory production by developing and improving automated manufacturing and NC processes, implementing computing

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• 9+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of robotic and automation technologies including ABB, KUKA, FANUC.

Expert Automation & Robotics Programmer

We are hiring an Expert Automation & Robotics Programmer in Everett, Renton, or Auburn, Washington, supporting Production Engineering in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires extensive experience with ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, FANUC robots, robotic cell programming, automation control systems, high-speed machining, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing process optimization.

This position directly supports factory production by developing and improving automated manufacturing and numerical control processes, implementing computing applications for design, machining, and inspection systems, and resolving production issues. The role works closely with mechanics, safety teams, equipment services, and other manufacturing stakeholders to improve production efficiency, safety, quality, and process performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical requirements for numerical control, automation, robotics, and manufacturing processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify manufacturing equipment, automation technologies, and technical approaches that support numerical control programming and production requirements.
• Resolve manufacturing and production process concerns involving machining, robotics, automation, and related equipment.
• Support robotic cell programming and automation control systems used within the production environment.
• Manage the implementation of new and revised computing applications supporting design, machining, and inspection systems.
• Apply technical expertise in automation, robotics, machining, and manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency and performance.
• Work directly in the factory environment with mechanics, safety personnel, equipment services, and production teams.
• Train and mentor team members on manufacturing, automation, robotics, and programming processes.
• Perform work under consultative direction with a high degree of technical independence.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship Required
• Associate (AA) degree in a related discipline and typically 9+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge and technical expertise with robotic and automation technologies, including ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, FANUC robots, automation control systems, and robotic cell programming.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes involving design, machining, numerical control programming, and automated production systems.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Machinist and/or robotics experience with shop-floor programming skills.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, including CATIA, Vericut simulation, Mastercam, RobotStudio, CENIT, or similar manufacturing software.
• Certification or formal training in automation or robotics.
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with 3D modeling.
