Space is seeking an Algorithm Developer and State Estimation Engineer to design and implement guidance algorithms for remote sensing applications. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office work approximately three days a week in Broomfield, CO.

We build, integrate, and operationally support our customers’ emerging space‑ground systems to include real‑time data processing frameworks, sensor data processing, and data visualization across all orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO).
We have an immediate opportunity for a highly skilled Algorithm Developer and State Estimation Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to our customers’ challenging needs and who will thrive in a collaborative environment. This position will generally support a combination of direct customer programs as well as internal research and development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing, sensor data fusion, and filtering techniques. Experience with real‑time embedded systems, C++/Python implementations, and Department of War (DoW) projects is highly desirable.
Position is Hybrid – ~3 days a week onsite in Broomfield, CO (schedule may flex depending on customer needs). Infrequent travel to customer sites may be required.

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. Proposed salary for this position is: $145,000—$190,000 USD.
