Job summary

Radical Numerics in San Francisco is seeking an experimental biologist to bridge our AI models and the physical world. You will design and run wet-lab experiments, manage CROs/partners, and help shape our internal lab platform and data pipelines for model improvements.

This hands-on role requires strong experimental instincts, independence in execution, and the ability to move between scientific strategy and practical implementation in a fast-moving research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in experimental biology or related field.
• Strong experimental instincts with independence in designing and troubleshooting wet-lab experiments.
• Experience managing CROs, core facilities, or academic collaborators, including evaluating protocols, budgets, timelines, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments to test predictions generated by models and prioritized by the team.
• Coordinate with ML researchers and computational biologists to translate questions into rapid, informative experiments.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot, and prioritize next steps for modeling and experimentation.
• Help build and operate Radical Numerics' internal wet-lab capabilities over time.
