Job Summary:

To install, repair, and adjust component parts on experimental projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Complete routine aircraft modification and systems installation using engineering drawings, work orders, and instructions.
  2. Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of aircraft systems and power plant controls.
  3. Operate hand and power equipment such as shears, brakes, and presses to fabricate parts and assemblies.
  4. Service and prepare experimental aircraft for flight.
  5. Use hand and power tools plus measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, and protractors.
  6. Be responsible only for own work.
  7. Perform other related duties as required.
  8. Act as a liaison cross-functionally and between leaders.
Education:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Requires familiarity with ordinary drawings, shop math, and measuring devices. An A&P license is required.

Experience:
  • Aircraft service or maintenance experience preferred.
