Theuniversityunion is seeking a Substitute in the Experiential School to assist the classroom teacher on a temporary basis when absent. The role involves setting up activity centers, preparing materials, and supervising students under the head teacher's direction.

Responsibilities include supervising both classroom and playground activities, assisting with housekeeping tasks, and supporting teachers in various groups.

Position Purpose:

The Experiential School Sub is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher on a temporary basis when a teacher or teaching assistant is absent.

• Help with general housekeeping and kitchen tasks

Requirements:

• High school degree or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred
• DCF 40-hour introductory childcare training preferred
• Interest in children in an educational setting
• Good verbal skills with students, colleagues and parents
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Able to use basic office equipment
• Proficient in technology and web-based tools
