Horizon Hobby is seeking a dynamic General Store Manager for our Champaign, IL store. The role will drive overall performance, maintain merchandising and inventory, and guide staff to deliver a best-in-class hobby experience for customers and guests.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Weekend work is required, with a schedule around 40–45 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience including merchandising, inventory and store operations.
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead employees to develop hobby expertise and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Create a memorable customer experience with education, demonstrations, and technical support.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory, and store operations to ensure consistency and brand standards.
• Build relationships with local partners and the community through events and demonstrations.
