Job summary

Cooper Carry in Denver, CO seeks an Experiential Graphic Designer II with 3-5+ years of professional experience in experiential/environmental graphics. This role focuses on designing and producing drawings, renderings, and branding for built environments, under the guidance of a Senior Designer and Studio Leader.

You'll develop your skills, contribute to multiple projects, attend client meetings, and support the studio through research, documentation, and collaboration with team members.

JOB TITLE

Experiential Graphic Designer II

Experiential Graphic Designer II is an early career position within the Experiential Graphic Design Studio. This designer has 3-5+ years professional design experience specifically within the experiential/environmental graphic design industry. The primary focus for an Experiential Graphic Designer II is to develop design and technical solutions, along with honing their professional development and skills. This designer can work independently, with the direction and support of a Senior Level Designer and/or Studio Leader. An Experiential Graphic Designer II is a contributor to the design team and overall project success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to, the following:

Design & Production

• Produce quality design deliverables, including drawings, renderings, and presentations, adhering to both
• Cooper Carry and client guidelines.
• Refine skills to include drawing, rendering, visual and presentation techniques utilizing internal
• Develop knowledge of required computer software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD Tools, SketchUp,
• Develop ability to make design and documentation decisions using discretion and good judgement.
• Prepare and produce drawings, design, and construction documents, as directed – including detail
• drawings and specifications with assistance and guidance.
• Design and development of logos and brands for the built environment.
• Task oriented, accepting direction from others.
• Gain an understanding of municipal signage codes, fabrication construction methods and general
• Develop design process skills and knowledge by performing foundational project and studio tasks, such
• as meeting minutes, studio library maintenance and project message schedules.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and regulations, including municipal signage codes, fabrication
• standards and general architectural documentation.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Work independently and as part of a team, accepting direction and contributing to project success.
• Attend and participate in meetings and presentations.
• Engage with clients by actively participating in client meetings and presentations, including taking
• detailed meeting notes.
• Help maintain project filing and email documentation.
• Help facilitate client correspondence while copying team or project leadership.
• Willingness to continue to learn, accept feedback and constructive criticism from peers, Senior
• Designers, and Studio Leaders.
• Represent Cooper Carry in a professional manner.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Support studio initiatives, including social media content creation and the promotion of studio projects.
• Seek opportunities to learn and grow within the industry, including professional development and
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.
• Contribute to and support the success of the Experiential Graphic Design studio and the firm.
• Professional organization membership is not required but recommended.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited design program with bachelor's level degree or equivalent design experience
• in graphic design, visual communications, environmental graphics, industrial design, interior design, or a
• related design industry.
• 3-5+ years professional experience within the experiential/environmental graphic design industry.
• Ability to understand and create design drawings to a required architectural scale.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of design phases – conceptualization thru documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality design.
• Demonstrated competency with required computer software: (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD Tools,

Compensation range offered for this Job Posting: $60k - $75k annually.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, an Experiential Graphic Designer II will assist in mentoring entry level designers while reporting directly to a specific Team Leader, Senior Designer, and/or Studio Leader.
