Job summary

Local Eclectic is a Chicago-based jewelry brand expanding into a flagship retail store and café at 212 E. Ontario, seeking an Events & Community Manager to own the brand’s real-world presence. You will plan paid events, trunk shows, space rentals, and community programming that connects Chicago neighbors and visitors with the brand.

You’ll lead social content creation from events, manage partnerships, and build a vibrant local community through in-person experiences and collaborations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in events, community management, or experiential marketing.
• Proven track record planning and executing paid, ticketed, or sponsored events.
• Space rental management or hospitality experience.
• Strong social media fluency and hands-on community management.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple events and vendors.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends around events.
• Based in or able to work on-site in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, and execute paid marketing events, brand activations, trunk shows and community events.
• Oversee inbound space rental inquiries for the flagship and negotiate terms.
• Build and nurture an active, engaged community of customers and brand fans.
• Manage day-to-day social engagement across platforms and translate events into content.
