Responsibilities

• Operate the tube laser.

• Move torch head to correct position for accurate cuts.
• Load/unload metal sheets and grind parts as needed.
• Inspect parts for quality and acceptability.
• Work independently and with the team on projects.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with teammates.

Essential Functions:

• 1. Operate the tube laser.
• 2. Load sheets in the computer from the scheduler.
• 3. Verifies for proper dimensions and operation of the laser cutter, and monitors for correct cut condition.
• 4. Move torch head to proper place for correct cutting.
• 5. Load and unload metal sheets as needed.
• 6. Grind parts as needed.
• 7. Performs inspection of parts; evaluates work to determine if it is high quality/acceptable.
• 8. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
• 9. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• 10. Communicates to co-workers and other team members in an effective way.
