Job Title: Yoga Teacher

Alternative Titles: Yoga Instructor, Yoga & Fitness Teacher, Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Reports to: Studio Manager

Position: YogaSix Yoga Teachers are passionate professionals eager to grow and be part of a community-changing lives. They are warm, outgoing, engaging, and committed to empowering classes. Teachers are hired as part-time employees to support their development.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional classes, build community, and connect with students
  • Arrive prepared at least 15 minutes before class
  • Set up and manage studio space and props
  • Create engaging classes adhering to YogaSix standards
  • Teach safely and creatively, supporting student success
  • Follow up with students post-class
  • Clean and organize studio space after classes
  • Support studio success through engagement and knowledge of programs
  • Maintain presence in studio and practice regularly

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 200 hours Yoga Alliance Certification
  • Preferred 6 months teaching experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to connect personally with strangers
  • Willingness to grow and learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Warm, approachable personality with humor
  • Reliable, neat, and professional
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Calm and respectful demeanor
  • Customer service skills
  • Trustworthy with confidential info
  • Proficient with computers and studio software
  • Fluent in English
  • Teach at least 3 classes per week

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely in a heated room, demonstrate postures, and monitor students
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds and stair navigation
  • Good vision and hearing abilities

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate plus additional class pay based on experience
