Job summary

Pikes Peak Windows and Doors in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Window & Door Installer / Installation Technician to join our crew. You should have a solid construction background, be comfortable with tools and ladders, and read a tape measure accurately.

Window and door installation experience is preferred, but candidates with solid remodeling, carpentry, exterior construction or similar trades will be considered.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or installation experience required.
• Window and door installation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with caulking, trim work and aluminum brake work is a plus.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Comfortable using common hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Able to take direction and also recognize what needs to be done next.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or assist with residential window and door installations.
• Remove existing windows and doors and prepare openings for installation.
• Set, level, fasten, insulate and finish window and door installations.
• If the assistant, ability to follow directions to the above.
• Cut and bend aluminum exterior trim using a brake.
• Caulk and complete interior and exterior finish work.
• Set up and safely work from ladders, including second & third-story work.
• Load and unload windows, doors, tools and job materials.
• Protect customers' homes and property while work is being completed.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
• Help maintain company trucks, trailers and tools.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers and other crew members.
