Job summary

Responsibilities

Skills

Wrap surgery packs/autoclave

Running IDEXX in-house lab work

Monitoring/treating hospitalized patients

Job description

We are looking for a RVT or highly experienced veterinary assistant to join our amazing team and to be able provide excellent service to both our patients and their pet parents. We are a small staff with a family like atmosphere. Our next team member must be a bright, responsible, self-motivated individual who shares the same passion for the patients as we do! He or she must be comfortable with speaking to owners in person and over the phone, providing invoices, taking payments and working well amongst the team. High level customer service, technical skills and teamwork is crucial. We are a fast paced Urgent Care and Surgery exclusive hospital, so experience in these areas is highly desirable.

The right candidate will have experience in:

• Wrap surgery packs/autoclave
• Running IDEXX in-house lab work
• knowledge in Xray positioning
• Phlebotomy/ IV catheterization/SQ, IM, IV injections
• Ultrasound guided cystocentesis
• Surgical preparation, monitoring and assistance
• Monitoring/treating hospitalized patients

The schedule consists of four 10-hour days. Must be able to work 1 weekend shift.

Our hospital is open 7 days a week and most holidays.
