Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar professional environment.
• Familiarity with animal physiology and safe handling techniques for small animals and/or exotics.
• Core compassion, empathy, attention to detail, and organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, focused demeanor during emergencies and emotional situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Perform catheterization and assist with laboratory diagnostic testing.
• Monitor patient vital signs, behavior and condition; report changes promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe clinical environment and sanitize equipment.
• Safely handle and restrain animals during exams and treatments.
• Educate pet owners on care, medication administration, and vet recommendations.
• Support clinic operations with administrative duties as needed.
