Good Shepherd Pet Hospital in Odessa, FL is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our busy team. You will work closely with veterinarians and support staff across patient care, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and procedures while delivering compassionate care to pets and families.

We value collaboration and ongoing learning, with a rotating Saturday schedule and opportunities for growth within a supportive CVP network.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Experience with blood draws and IV catheter placement.
• Knowledge of surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters.
• Assisting veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
• Preparing patients for surgical and dental procedures.
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with patient recovery.
• Administering medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as directed.
• Taking digital radiographs and assisting with diagnostic imaging.
• Collecting and processing laboratory samples.
• Providing safe and compassionate patient restraint.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment notes.
• Reviewing discharge instructions and communicating with clients about patient care.
• Helping maintain an organized and efficient treatment area and hospital workflow.
