Job summary

Countryside Veterinary Service LLC in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our growing private practice. We see dogs, cats, exotics, wildlife, horses, and farm animals across two facilities with flexible schedules and four-day weeks.

Responsibilities include assisting in surgery, monitoring patients, taking radiographs, running in-house tests, dental work, catheter placement, and client education.

Qualifications

• We require a High School diploma or GED.
• Experienced technician or assistant preferred.
• Must be able to work with a variety of animals and clients.

We are a growing veterinary practice with two modern facilities in beautiful Oregon. We have a hospital in Myrtle Creek and a second location in Canyonville. We see animals of all types including dogs, cats, exotics, wildlife, horses and other farm animals. We have a great reputation in our community and take pride in offering high quality veterinary care for our patients. Making visits stress free for our clients and patients is a high priority.

We are open 4 days a week, and employee schedules are very flexible with three day weekends. Duties can include assisting in surgery, monitoring patients, assisting doctors, taking radiographs, conducting dental cleanings and dental radiographs, running in house laboratory equipment and performing in house tests, placing catheters, inpatient and outpatient care, educating clients, and much, much more.

We are looking for an experienced Technician or Assistant.

High School diploma or GED is required.

We are a drug free workplace and pre-employment drug testing is required.

We require all new staff to be up to date on COVID vaccines.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
