Community Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, dependable, and team‑oriented technician with hands‑on experience in a busy veterinary hospital. CVT certification is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high‑quality nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, surgery, and dentistry.
  • Obtain and monitor patient vital signs.
  • Place and monitor IV catheters.
  • Draw blood and perform laboratory testing.
  • Take and develop diagnostic radiographs.
  • Calculate and administer medications accurately.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
  • Provide patient monitoring and post‑operative care.
  • Assist with patient triage and urgent care.
  • Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, nutrition, and home care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment area.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members.

This position will include a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Flexibility with scheduling is important, and candidates must be comfortable working evenings and weekends as part of their regular schedule.
