City Veterinary Care in New York City is seeking a qualified veterinary technician to join our nonprofit Toby Project team. You will assist with triage, lab work, imaging, and patient care across medical and surgical cases to deliver the highest standard of care.
The role requires at least 3 years of experience, strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients. We offer ongoing training and comprehensive benefits in a supportive environment.

We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, vaccines & monitoring, dentistry, 24-hour nursing care, specialty care and State of the Art Equipment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
