Here is What Your day May Consist of:- Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture
- Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral)
- Perform radiographs
- Assisting doctors with patient care, including obtaining blood and laboratory samples, patient restraint, and client education and communication
- Provide care to hospitalized patients and discharging patients after care is complete
- Conducting dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
- Surgical preparation, monitoring, assisting and recovering patients
- Collaborating in a team environment
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:- Minimum of 2 years experience as a veterinary technician
- LVT preferred but not required
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience assisting in surgical procedures
- Urgent care experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Availability to work one weekend day (eligible for a $2/hour shift differential)
Scheduled shifts:
- Monday & Friday: 7:30 AM - 8:30 PM (with a $2/hour differential after 8 PM)
- Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM
- Shift flexibility is available

To better serve our clientele, a second location Metro Paws Animal - Oak Cliff was built in July 2012. Finally, Metro Paws Animal Hospital - White Rock, which opened in January 2016.
Our three locations offer general practice and holistic care approaches. We provide our teams with the tools and training necessary to feel confident in the job they do.
