Our 24/7 emergency and critical care team serves small animal patients across Ventura and surrounding counties,acceptingwalk-ins and referrals. We have a large, fully equipped, multi-unit ICUthat includesan isolation ward and quiet rooms. Our emergency department team is fortunate to have access toour Internal Medicine departmentsix days a week, forconsultation and supportive services.

We are seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our medical care team! The ideal candidate will have previous professional veterinary medicine experience, excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, is excited and motivated to learn, and have a passion for providing high-quality care to animals!
*This is a full-time position,temporary/seasonal help need not apply.
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, venipuncture, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, general housekeeping, laundry, sanitizing various medical areas, sterilizing equipment and surfaces, stocking of supplies and other routine supportive functions.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

The ideal candidate for this position will be accountable, responsible, motivated, proactive, trustworthy, and dependable.
$18 - $22/hr depending on level of experience
Hiring eligibility may be contingent to a candidate authorizing and completing a satisfactory background check.
