Job summary

Avalon Family Veterinary Hospital in Orlando, Florida seeks an Experienced Associate Veterinarian to join a supportive team with a broad caseload. You’ll practice thoughtful medicine with autonomy, supported by skilled technicians and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program.
• Active Florida veterinary license or ability to obtain.
• DEA licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• Previous small-animal clinical experience.
• Comfortable with general medicine, dentistry, and surgery.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to connect with clients.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support the team.

Responsibilities

• See the whole patient—provide preventive care, diagnose illness, develop treatment plans, and follow cases through.
• Keep surgical skills active—perform general soft-tissue procedures and dentistry.
• Use clinical judgment—interpret diagnostics and decide what's best for each patient.
• Build relationships—not just appointments—with clients and families.
• Lean on your team—collaborate with doctors, technicians, and specialists.
• Be there for hard moments—guide families through difficult diagnoses.
