Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Tree Care Climber to support the Foreman by leading crews, climbing and trimming trees, and operating equipment such as chainsaws and chippers. The role offers full-time hours with a strong emphasis on safety and skill growth.

You will participate in pruning/removal tasks, learn rigging techniques, and contribute to high-quality client service on outdoor sites. Training and development are provided during employment.

Qualifications

• Able to follow safety protocols and instructions.
• Knowledge of climbing harnesses, safety gear and rigging techniques.
• Comfortable climbing to heights up to 60 ft and using tree care tools.
• Adherence to OSHA, ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.

Responsibilities

• Prune and remove trees and shrubs as directed.
• Operate tools such as chainsaws, chippers and hand tools.
• Maintain crew organization and complete tasks for clients.
• Learn and develop skills to improve performance.
• Climb trees for pruning or removals as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and work with the foreman.
