Job summary

Responsibilities include analyzing import docs, preparing paperwork for customs brokers, monitoring broker performance to SOPs and KPIs, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure compliant shipments of steel materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience with EAR, US Customs, HTS, Schedule B
• Experience with freight forwarders, brokers, and logistics
• Experience with steel commodities (pipe, fittings, flanges, valves)

Responsibilities

• Oversee import and export transactions end-to-end
• Analyze import docs for compliance with Customs requirements
• Prepare import documents for Customs Broker
• Monitor performance of Customs Broker to SOP/compliance KPIs
• Prepare export docs (SED, CI, P/L, Carnets) per regulations
• Track status of imports/exports and report to business
• Support internal teams on export/import needs
• Assist Trade Compliance Manager with investigations
