Job summary

InterSolutions, LLC is hiring an Affordable Housing Leasing Professional in Baton Rouge. You will welcome visitors, guide tours, process applications and background checks, and handle rent and move-in fees with a focus on resident satisfaction.

The role reports to the property manager and supports lease renewals, renewals, and tenant retention through proactive follow-up and marketing efforts. A fast-paced environment and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• Tax Credit experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills: Word/Outlook/Excel; social media exposure.
• Familiarity with leasing software: Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata Onesite, MRI.
• Weekend work availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, identify housing needs.
• Assist with leasing paperwork: applications, leases, background checks.
• Collect rent, deposits, and move-in fees.
• Explain lease terms and community policies to residents.
• Follow up with prospects who have not leased.
• Ensure apartments are move-in ready with inspections and touches.
• Apply creative marketing to attract residents.
• Manage lease renewals and retention efforts.
• Respond promptly to calls, emails, and inquiries.

As an Affordable Housing Leasing Professional, you ll play a key role in creating an outstanding living experience for both current and prospective residents. This position reports to the property manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greeting prospective residents, conducting tours, and identifying their housing needs
• Assisting with leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and background and credit checks
• Collecting rent, security deposits, and other move-in fees
• Communicating lease terms and community policies to new and existing residents
• Following up with prospects who haven t leased
• Ensuring apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last minute touches when appropriate
• Implementing creative marketing techniques to attract new residents
• Managing lease renewals and resident retention efforts
• Responding promptly to all calls, emails, and inquiries

Requirements

• Tax Credit experience preferred
