Job summary

Berger Health System in Pickerington, OH, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgery department. This role requires on-call shifts with rapid response to the hospital.

Candidates must have OR nursing experience in an acute care setting and an Ohio RN license. BSN preferred within five years of employment. On-site daily work with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or multi-state compact.
• BLS certification is required.
• BSN required at 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
• Delegates nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs using the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

When on-call, associates have 30 minutes to drive to the hospital, park, changing into surgical scrubs, and report to the charge RN.Candidates for this role must have recent OR experience as an RN in an acute care hospital. New graduates or tenured bedside RNs without OR experience need to apply to the OR RN Residency.Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
