Job description

Sechan Electronics is a 100% Employee Owned organization that provides products and services to the aerospace and defense industry. We are currently looking for an Experienced Solderer for our Lancaster, PA facility. You will be responsible for building final products to print by placing all necessary wiring, wiring harnesses, circuit cards and other hardware components within a chassis.



We are looking for an experience solder that will solder surface mount and through-hole electronic components onto a circuit board while maintaining high quality standards.



Position Responsibilities:

* Install electronic components onto circuit board utilizing basic hand tools, materials and processes including the soldering process.

* May operate machinery to clean and test circuit boards.

* Follow work instructions and router operations to complete necessary work.

* Enter data into company databases to read work instructions and complete operations.

* Interface with Engineers to problem solve or ask assembly questions.

* Prepare components for installation - Form components by hand or automated, bend leads, precondition leads or wires

* Follow proper circuit board handling procedures while moving components and boards throughout processes.

* Obtain and maintain basic certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures.

* Responsible for self-inspection of product for any defects prior to moving product to next step.

* Maintains a clean work environment to ensure product integrity and quality.

* Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.



Skills & Abilities:

* Possesses attention to detail and problem solving skills

* Ability to work independently and as a team player within a small team

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Basic computer skills

* Ability to read and comprehend work and process instructions



Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2+ years experience soldering; including experience soldering 0201 capacitors

* IPC certification preferred

* Fine motor skills and dexterity; vision - able to utilize microscope



Work Environment:

* Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.

* 9/80 work schedule.

* Office located in Lancaster, PA.
