Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Software Engineer to join the National Systems Programs (NSP) software team in El Segundo CA or Chantilly, VA. The selected candidate will work perform full stack development using the AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working across the tech stack with a solid understanding of software architecture, infrastructure tooling, and engineering fundamentals. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement scalable software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives. As a member of the Boeing software team, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to the maintenance and support of the delivered system for our customers. Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years’ experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications) and a foundation in computer science and software development 3+ years’ experience with Python 3+ plus years’ experience front end web programming (Angular 9/10+, Typescript, JavaScript)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns Experience with relational databases Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process Experience in Infrastructure Tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines) Experience in building out regression test suites Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: USD $135,150 - $182,850
