Qualifications

• Earned associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in skill trades related field OR valid Journeymen's card appropriate to area of instruction required.
• Minimum of 3 years industrial on-the-floor full-time work experience required.
• Additional certification or licensure may be required as appropriate to technology taught in the course.
• Bachelor's degree in skill trades related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in an education or training institution.
• Teaching or training experience preferred.
• OSHA, CPR/First Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Be informed of the Colleges support services for students and recommend their use, when advisable.
• Make every reasonable effort to attend scheduled staff meetings.
• Demonstrate mastery of course material and come prepared for each class.
• Teach courses in accordance with the Course Master and Department policies.
• Provide guidance to students to promote learning and success.
• Meet all scheduled classes and final examinations as scheduled.
• Grade and return written work in a timely manner and maintain records.
