Job summary

Foundation Automotive Group in Castle Rock is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead the service department's technical efforts and drive productivity. You will allocate work, mentor technicians, and ensure repairs move through the shop efficiently and profitably.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of dealership experience and advanced diagnostic skills across powertrain and electrical systems, with ASE Master certification preferred. Monday–Friday, on-site work in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years automotive technician experience, dealership environment preferred.
  • Advanced diagnostic capability across engine, electrical, driveability, and drivetrain systems.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and prioritize repair orders to technicians based on skill level, certification, and shop workload
  • Provide hands‑on diagnostic support and technical guidance to technicians on complex repairs
  • Perform quality control inspections on completed work before vehicle delivery
  • Monitor technician efficiency and productivity; identify and remove workflow bottlenecks
  • Verify accurate punch time, story writing, and documentation on repair orders for warranty and customer pay compliance
  • Support the multi‑point inspection (MPI) process to ensure thorough, honest, and consistent vehicle inspections
  • Assist with warranty administration accuracy, including proper labor op usage and required documentation
  • Coordinate with the parts department to minimize technician downtime
  • Mentor and develop apprentice and entry‑level technicians
  • Enforce shop safety standards, equipment maintenance, and OSHA compliance
  • Communicate repair status and technical findings to service advisors to support accurate customer communication
  • Assist the Service Manager with technician performance feedback and training plans

Job description

The Shop Foreman is the technical leader of the service department. This role directs work distribution, supports technicians on diagnostic and repair challenges, enforces quality control standards, and drives shop productivity. The Foreman is the bridge between the advisor team and the technician team, ensuring repair orders move through the shop efficiently, accurately, and profitably.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  1. Stellantis (Chrysler/Mopar) certification, Level 3 or Master preferred
  2. ASE Master Technician certification
  3. Prior team lead, foreman, or dispatch experienceExperience with DealerTrack DMS and Xtime
Work Environment

Active dealership service shop. Exposure to noise, vehicle exhaust, and shop equipment. Standard schedule Monday through Friday.
