Job summary

ProLift Toyota Material Handling Service Team in Nitro, WV is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician to maintain and repair forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites. You’ll diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, document service activities, and deliver exceptional customer service while representing ProLift professionally.

This role requires problem-solving skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment, heavy equipment, automotive diesel, or material handling equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Technical school education is preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Experience with diagnostic software is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied environments (rain/snow)

ProLift Toyota Material Handling is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician to provide world-class maintenance and repair services to forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations.

We’re looking for professionals who take pride in solving problems, delivering exceptional customer service, and working independently.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair electric and internal combustion forklifts
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and electronic systems

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment, heavy equipment, automotive diesel, agricultural, or material handling equipment, required
• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Technical school education, preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Experience with diagnostic software, preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (may require medical certificate or CDL)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift, push and pull up-to 75lbs and work in various environments such as outdoor rain or snow conditions

Preferred Experience

• Toyota forklift repair experience
• ASE, EVT, or OEM certifications
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Battery - electric and lithium-ion equipment
